Survived the big 4-0!
Well, The big 4-0 was yesterday, It was a simple easy day and sometime those are the best! Lorna and I went to Denny's (free on your birthday) and went to park place mall and watch Karate Kid (good movie!) we rommed around the mall abit and headed home, I then went out for a little drive and went to the zoo and strolled around for a few and sanpped a couple of pictures...went to dunkin donuts-been craving it since I moved to AZ. Had a great chat wiht my dear frined Jenny as well. It was raining so we changed our plans and went to Bruce's and Linda's house for dinner. Lornas's boyfrined Bill met us there. We had a nice dinner and a nice visit. Greeting from Facebook friends and a package and funny emails from Jenny made the day special as well!

life is precious!
Sometimes we get so busy in our daily lives we often forget how precious life is...how often we have someone or something in our lives and before we know it, it's no longer there. Over the last few weeks we have watched a dove built a nest, lay some eggs and then begin planning her family, before we knew it, there was a cute little family in the nest. I'm thankful I was able to get some cute pictures of all of them..OH SO CUTE!! Yesterday, my dad came in from the porch to tell us one of them had died. He was found by the back door...No sign of momma bird anywhere and only one lone baby remained in the nest..it was suggested to put some seed by the bird so it wouldn't starve...wel lI climbed up there, somehow spoked it and it tried to fly between crashing into the post and the dog it broe it's neck and also died. It was really sad!...I was heartbroken and felt really bad. I also knew how much all of us enjoyed watching them.

my new baby
Well since I have been in Arizonia, it has been a whirlwind of activy, My Dad has been helping me finally get my drivers licence and then this last firday we began the search for a new car..I never relized how hard this can be..and how funny my dad is.so the search began with each of us just a few feet from each other me in the office on my computer-Him the garage on his..Now for me I wanted to sit side by side and go over each one...but him being the internet expert wanted ot do it this way...so the hunt began...I would find a listing sent it to him, the replys would come back...too many miles, too old. too big. too small, too expensive, and on and on..one rely said 3:30..I delted it by accidentand quickly went back...and before i knew it we had a appointment to look at a car...Dad had told me the guy passed all the questions so that was a good sign...he was on time to meet us so that was good too, he drove up and I was excited, nicer than I imaniged by far!...So My dad checked every inch, the vin numbers and the works and we tok it for a spin...I wasn't sure the whole time if it would get his apporoval or not but I knew if it did it owuld be a good car!...before I knew it we were headed home with my new baby!!
Friday felt so surreal! I kept peaking out my bedroom all night to make sure she was still tehre and Saturday went out to check again...yup it really was there!...Saturday I went to the driving lessons and passed the permit test wiht flying colors...even got a 100% Wahoo!!!!..Now the challenge begins with driving expereince...Today I gave her a good bath and Boy she sure looks pretty glistening in the sunlight!..Eve nmade my first car realted purchase as a offical car owner...it's very first airfreshner..LOL!

The big change!
IT sure is funny how fast your life can change, On a regular day in may I came home from work, had dinner, took care of my cats and decided ot get online-there was a message fro mmy dad "you online?" I was able to reach him after a little bit and he presented me with a opportunity I didn';t think I should refuse...72 hours later I was relocated to Tucson AZ...what a whirlwind of activity it was. Saturday found the whle idea so exciting that I didn't have time to really think it all out- My Firend KEnt helped me get a uhaul (I got a great deal-even found a truck that needed to go back to AZ so the rate was about 75%off! YEAH!) my great friend Jenny came over to help Saturday afternoon- we sorted boxes and the nwent to dinner (olive garden) and took pictures around downtown salt lake. The evening went by in a blur. Sunday ws busy saying goodbye to friends and shooting pictures wiht the parrys, posting things to sell and give away on KSL and a whirlwind of activity. Monday found me fratically running around to finalize thigns and wiht alot of help from friends and strangers we were headed to Tucson at abut 11:30 pm monday night. The trip to tuscon was interesting and took over 26 hours...3 yowling cats and a driver who was scared of the freeway..stay tuned for the next chapter....

the great challenge...
can you believe it's May already? Wow..this year is flying by...Lately it has been some time for reflecting, time for spring cleaning and time to make some great changes around here. As I was cleaning and sorting I relized I am surrounded by so much crafting stuff it is scray! After talking to serveral of my scrapping friends the great challenge is born! It should be interesting to see how this all comes together-but here it is...500 paper related projects by the end of the year!.. this includes cards, scrapbook layouts-basicaly anything that will utilize my neverending stash of stuff. I am excited about this challenge as well, it will be a great reason to finally get back to scrapping and getting my mountian of pictures in some kind of order as well. SO today being the first day, I better sign off and head to the table to do some serious scrapping...now where did my favorite adhesive go? Stay tuned and hope you enjoy taking a peak into the challenge-and hope you enjoy seeing all the things I enjoy doing for fun.

Here a couple of more cards I have been working on, as you have probably guessed I go thur phases with my card making that it seems like I get onto a techinuque and stick wiht it for ahwile, then move on to something else, one thing I really love about making cards is that there are SO many options in the creative process...no way to get bored with so many fun things to play with. The bunny with the egg is another lasting impression stenical (I have a ton of these and was really exctied when I discoved I could use them really well for sewing templates as well...he is made with # L9105. I'm not sure of all the thread #s since most of the thread colors where in my "scrap" box. the heart flowers is from a pattern by Darsie Bruno (you can find her awesome patterns at "a sticher's dream.com") the ribbon is one I found at my local walmart.
a little bit behind
wow, it really is amazing how fast time flies anymore! I've been pretty behind with updates and such...seems like anymore there just isn't enough hours in the day! A quick little update of what has been happening in my neck of the woods since October (since I last posted..opps) My computer was down for quite some time, thanks to my dad helping me wiht getting it fixed I am now back on line and feel like I'm back in touch wiht hte world again..LOL. I've been out of work since mid December and been looking hard..It sure is a tough hunt right now! whew!! I have a couple of part time jobs lined up now so that should take a little stress off.. now the trick is finding something full time wiht benifits. hopefully the job hunting will come to a end soon, seems like around here EVERYONE is hunting for a job. at first I was really amazed when I went to a interview and saw PILES of resumes stacked up on employers desk...seems like that is jsut common--for every one position there is about 500 or more apllicants. In my non-job hunting time I have been doing some sorting and srping clenaing of sorts on my place, and FINALLY getting back to some card making.
I think my cards have been alot of my sanity saver lately...it's nice to sit down wiht them and get lost in the creative process and not stress about anything at the moment. MY cats are all doing good as well..spend alot of thier time hibernating under warm covers till spring. The picture I'm including this time is of a horse card. this one was lot of fun! the pattern can be found in the book "embroidery on paper for every occasion by Joke de Vette (page17) alot of fun!--
