Project lif week 8
I am so excited, I think I finally got my computer and camera to finally decide to be friends and I can finally share my layouts. Week 8 Was filled with alot of challnges- doctor apts, getting laid off from my night job, still working on house repairs from our flood mishap a couple of weeks ago and a few other things.I still stuck wiht capturing the week has it happened and am so glad I did...after all it shows life is all asspects...the good, the bad and the ugly!
I have alos been attempting to be a little more creative and was thirlled with how this week came together. I have been doing alot of sorting and purging of my scrap supplies and came acrost some 12 x 12 papers that had 12 squares (assorted little cards on them) I stared at them for a bit and said WAIT A MINUTE!!!..this size looks mighty familiar!!! so I grabbed my scissors and carefully cut each square apart and sure enough a PERFECT fit for my project life pages..YAHOO!!!. I took this discover one step further and went back digging thur my boxes of tiny stuff and each card got "dressed" I love that I used stuff fro my stash and how it all came together!
This this is my firs time posting my PL pages here is a few things that I am doing to make my pages more "ME" I love butterflies and I love hidden picture games so...Each week there are hidden buttrflies on my pages. sometimes they are easy to find sometimes not...buty they are there! Also on each title card I am including advice people have given me on how to live my life to the fullest. this week title "just roll with it" couldn't have been more perfect for this week..HA HA!!
This weeks pictures include A picture of my new nephew at 6 months old, My new PL goodies, a evening walk, an insert wiht lunch wiht friends, a pictue of me (and week 7 wiht my cast..ack!, a new cereal I tired..YUM! me and my cat nestle, Nestle helping me work and Indy relaxing!

Survivng the great flood of 2012
Whew!...just when I thought the last few weeks were tough- life has more curveballs in store! We are still in the process of getting the house back in order after the flood in the bathroom and still have a long ways to go.
I went to the orthopedic for my wrist last friday and I was so excited for a minute that I would Finally get my cast off..but he decided another three to four more weeks would allow it to heal fully and overall have a better rate of healing correctly...ACK!
I also went to a cardologist last week and will be having more test done soon and a visit to a neologist is tomorow...hopefully we can figure out some of the problems I have been having soon.
on the happy news I competed week 7 of my PL only hours after midnight on saturday and was so thrilled to be that current.
Friday found Becky Higgins finally having stock - I wanted to order supplies so badly but had appointments....the story became so funny I sahred it with Becky and she sahered it on her blog...here it is:
Please bear with me as this will be another topic for another day. We’re working on a lot of product development right now. A lot. I know there are many questions on what we’re working on and when it’s going to become available. We’re super excited that you are anxious for the next round of new items.
Not only do I prefer to have more information before I share any more, but I also have been completely consumed with today’s shipment arrival and really need to get through this weekend with so much going on. I literally gave play-by-play updates as products were showing up on Amazon shelves, and I personally answered most questions that were asked on facebook, twitter, and here on my blog. As Ellie in New York stated on twitter today, I would TOTALLY wear a t-shirt saying I survived the Feb 2012 Project Life Re-stock. Ha! No kidding, sister. : )
On a similar, funny note: Dawn in Arizona said this on facebook today: “I kept checking all morning and was totally stressing out since I had to leave to go to my cardiologist appointment. My doctor even commented my blood pressure was high and I said, You have no idea… I NEED my project life stuff and I just know they are going to be out before I get home! He gave me a crazed look and I was so relieved when my phone decided to finally corporate so I could place my order. He came back to check my blood pressure a few minutes later and it had gone down. He said, Wow! That must be important stuff to stress you out that much! HA HA!!!
Trust me – we do not intend for the ordering process to be stressful. Ultimately we would love to have an insane amount of inventory for every single product so that we never run out. But right now we’re doing the best we can.

gonna love lifes challenges!....NOT!
Where do I start on the last few days? Life has defintely been full of challenges lately- does this mean its going to be filled with rainbows and pots of gold soon?,,,,HA HA! Lets see, this week found me getting a new cast for my left hand-the other one was really hurting and was sliding around too much. Fingers and toes crossed this friday it will be off for good...It's been a long run with it (dec 17 from when I first broke my wrist) Tuesday I got a write-up at work- I understand why but don;t understand why others don't get write-ups for leaving meds out or not showing up on time...mine was for not signing a form..ACK! Then Wednesday I spent the entire day in the ER due to high blood preasure and then battled the next two days being sick from the meds they gave me. Friday and Saturday found me spending allt of time thinking over what direction I want to go in my life right now...changes need to be made...but how to go about them...hmmm??? Sunday found me coming home from work with the hall and bathroom flooded and only getting a few hours of sleep after dealing with getting the water extracted and such.
On the bright side of things...I have been getting my picture of the day (even on the not so good days)and keeping up on my jounaling cards....Week 6 is just about completed....not to get the camera and computer to corpoarate so I can fianlly post everything!

Ok...safe to say I LOVE Project life!!

I know...another scrapbook thing...I said I would not do it...I have mountains of stuff already I thought I HAD to have....so when I saw project life...I just walked away...nope!..not going to get caught up in it. NOPE not going to do it!!..NOT GOING THERE!! After-all,..I have THOUSANDS of dollars worth of stuff I already am not using...
Then my mountain of pictures stared back on me...I swear they were begging to be let out of the stacks of boxes...Seemed at night they were calling to me "let us out!, let us be viewed again!" after months, I finally hauled out a pile of scrap stuff, a pile of pictures and sat down to scrap...5 HOURS later I had a scrap page completed...I looked back at the mountain of pictures and said "this is USELESS!" at this rate I'll never be caught up! Expecially the very next day I purchased my Nikon 5100 and took over 500 pictures in ONE DAY....OH GOOD GRIEF!...the Mountain of pictures grow DAILY!!
Then one night, I couldn;t sleep- (I swear the pictures in the boxes were screaming at this point and ganging up on me...after-all there is 40 years of pictures in those boxes!).. I got online, I've always followed Becky Higgins...She truly inspires me is so many ways...I read her blog...every entry from NOV 2011 to the beginning from when she started her blog years ago...PROJECT LIFE was Screaming at me..."wow, I can do that!...it looks easy enoguh, its cost effective, time effective hmmmm....(a little voice said walk away...BUT...this looked too good to be true...could this really calm down the out of control pile?...hmmm)(that little voice again...walk away!...don't do it!)
Credit card in hand..I headed over to amazon.com to place my first order Ok..I'll order ONE little kit,,just ONE...I'll try it.
.I ordered on a friday...it was here on MONDAY!..WOW!!! I instanly ordered kit #2...Kits 3 and 4 quickly followed, paper, inserts, plastics followed. great product, super fast shipping (Ok she is in Phoniex..but still!)...I was hooked...16 layouts completed in 2 hours....REALLY?...yes REALLY!!!...I did my first purchase in nov 11..I'll admit it did sit in the closet till after Christmas..but once the holidays were over...the scrapping began...a 2012 album was born (which I now carry everywhere...add things along the way and YES, a picture a day!..my friends even tease me since my binder has a special spot in the CAR!! 54 completed pages in less than 3 weeks! and many more to come...Can I see myself caught up on all my pictures? YES!! Can I be 40 years caught up by the end of 2012? With project life and maybe a little bit of traditional scrapping tossed in for good measure...YES!!!
OK...I'll Admit it....I'm in LOVE!!..the super fun, quick, fast, simple way to scrap!
Thanks Becky HIGGINS and Project LIFE....This is one amazing project! I'm so glad I'm hard headed and didn't listen to that little voice of walking away...now that little voice says "hey did you take a picture today?-Where's your PL kit- let's go!"

Mid January
How does it happen that one day the new begins and before you even know it- half the month has past? Where does the time go anymore? I'm excited with this year so far...
I am well on my way with my new scrapbooking project with project life- all I need to finish is a few insert pages, a title page and my goals for this year and it will be current and up to date! I am loving the simplicity of this project and not only am I documenting and perserving memoires, I'm also relizing the simple pleasures of each and every day! I am loving the pages I have already created and can;t wait to do more!
SOme of my other goals for the year are a bit on the slow side- but I figure one day at a time. I did go out to fashion bug this week and picked up a couple of cute shirts and My favorite type of pants (I call them Jeanie pants- reminds me of I dream of jeanie tv show) I also purchased lots of fun new jewlery!
Pictures to come soon of my PL pages...stay tuned...

A new year and new beginnings
WOW!! 2012-where does the time go? it's been about a year and half since i have post anything and decided its time to start blogging once again. I have lots of fun ideas for this year and hope to share them here.
In the last few months i have been picking up some little photo opportunities and made a big purchase a new Nikon 5100 camera which I love! It's already paid for itself in less than a month! and I have met some wonderful friends and families along the way. AS time goes on I will post my pictures as I have new adventures.
Another fun activity i am trying is a new form of scrap-booking called project life by Becky Higgins ( I really admire Becky and have been following her and her products for several years now)Project life is very simplified, easy and quick. I love the look of it and have taken on the challenge of trying to take a picture a day. So far its the 10th and I just need to print a few pictures and slide them in, everything else is all current.I can't wait to see the end result at the end of the year.
Speaking of scrap-booking, one of my major goals for this year is to clear pictures off my laptop, old hard-drives, face-book, cell phones, boxes, Walgreens websites and anywhere else there may be pictures and get them in albums! I have mountains of supplies and mountain of pictures- this is the year to get them all organized and in albums so I can still enjoy my pictures and keepsakes without them being ruined. My goal is to keep up with my 2012 project life album as well as scrapbook at least 1000 pages this year- that wont get all my pictures done but it sure will make a huge dent!
Other goals for this year is to save has much money has I can, take a trip home to see my family (North Dakota), work on losing weight- goal is to lose 75 pounds in one year and to get back to living on my own. well here's to a great new year full of fun new changes....Happy New YEAR!
